So, you're thinking of buying a "Gay Leashes for Bi-Curious Dogs" leash. Great, a few things to know:
-these leashes ARE NOT suited for dogs who enjoy chewing their leashes!
This probably includes your puppy. I have made puppy-friendly leashes by leaving the bottom 2 ft of the leash empty of loops and such. If this is something you desire, drop me a line, and keep in mind there is a small extra fee for special orders.
-these leashes mostly use nylon webbing, but I have been known to use polyester, which has a looser weave, but more colour options. It's a real The Devil Wears Prada situation...
-I use a variety of snap clasps, mostly the traditional bolt swivel snaps, but also some lever swivel snaps. I use chrome, brass, and black hardware. Keep in mind the brass hardware of a bit heavier than the other two finishes... it might not be suited for a Teacup Pomeranian, but my 16lb. Boston Terrier loved her brass hardware.
-these leashes can be hand-washed or put in a mesh bag and put in the washing machine. Hang to dry.
-I make most leashes either 4ish ft long, or 5ish ft long. If you desire a longer or shorter leash, like I said above, drop me a line, and keep in mind there is a small extra fee for special orders.
-these leashes will age like your dog, beautifully. While they can’t literally slow down or get a cataract, they will become a well-worn tool. I’m happy to repair any significant issues that may come up with any seams or hardware (repairs on me, shipping/delivery on you.)
-last thing, the stretchy, loopy bits on your leash are what I call DINGDONGS, and there is an info page on this very website that will describe, in hyperlinked detail, what exactly these are.
Truly,
Hazel
ps. say hi to your dog for me
